Privacy Policy

fiiyou is a small, independent social network. We collect only what is needed to run it. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.

Who is responsible

What we store

• Account: your email address and a password hash (handled by our authentication provider).
• Profile: username, display name, mood, locality, theme and style settings, music link or audio file, cover image, avatar, background, stickers, photos and captions.
• Activity: posts, comments, likes, guestbook entries, friend requests and friendships, your Top friends, places you add, blocks and reports you file.
• Messages: direct messages between friends. They are stored in our database and are not end-to-end encrypted; the operator can technically read them.
• Profile views: a daily count of how many different people viewed a profile. We store which account viewed which profile for that count, but nobody can see this list in the app.

Who can see it

Everything requires a login. Profiles, posts and photos are visible to other signed-in members unless you choose "friends only" where offered. Blocked people cannot see you. Your email is never shown to other members.

Services we rely on

• Supabase hosts the database, sign-in and file storage.
• GitHub Pages serves the website files and may log visitor IP addresses.
• OpenStreetMap provides map tiles (your browser requests them, so OpenStreetMap sees your IP address). When you press Search on the map, your search text is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service.
• YouTube is contacted only if you press play on a YouTube music link, using the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com player.

Your browser

Your sign-in session is kept in your browser's local storage. This is strictly necessary for the service to work; we do not use it for tracking.

Your rights

You can export your data (account menu → Export all my data) and delete your account and its content at any time (account menu → Delete account). Uploaded files are removed from storage when they are replaced or deleted. Copies may persist in provider backups for a limited time. You can also ask us to access, correct or erase your data by email, and you have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in Romania: ANSPDCP).

Age

fiiyou is for people aged 16 and over.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will say so on the sign-in page.
